Loke: Nile Tech not given access to MyJPJ user data

Transport Minister Anthony Loke said Nile Tech Sdn Bhd was not given access to the MyJPJ database. He said no user profile information is sent automatically through the link in the app.
KUALA LUMPUR: Transport Minister Anthony Loke told Parliament that Nile Tech Sdn Bhd does not have access to the MyJPJ database.
He said the third-party insurance link in the MyJPJ app does not automatically send user profile information to Nile Tech.
Loke made the clarification in a written reply published on the Parliament website, after questions were raised about data privacy and the role of the company in the app.
The answer was aimed at addressing concerns over whether user data from the government app could be accessed by outside parties.
What it means for you: If you use MyJPJ, this clarification says your profile data is not automatically shared with Nile Tech through that link.
