JPJ Denies Fake TikTok Ad Offering Driving Licences Without Tests

JPJ says a TikTok ad claiming driving licences can be obtained without a test is fake. The department has reported the account to MCMC and told the public to rely only on official JPJ channels.

The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has denied a TikTok advertisement that claimed driving licences could be obtained without taking a test.

In a statement on Oct 20, JPJ said it received complaints about the ad, which used an account under the name “Ahmad Mushidi”. The department said both the advertisement and the account are fake.

JPJ has lodged a report with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) for further action.

The department also advised the public not to be misled by unverified licence promotions, warning that such claims can cause confusion and losses. JPJ said people should get information on its services only through official channels.

What it means for you: Ignore social media posts promising “easy” or test-free licences, and verify any JPJ information through official channels before paying anyone.
