GWM Ora 5 HEV previewed at ACE 2026 before November launch

The GWM Ora 5 HEV is on display at paultan.org Auto Car Expo 2026 at SCCC, with test drives available ahead of its November Malaysian launch. GWM says the estimated price is RM115,000.
The GWM Ora 5 HEV is being previewed at this year’s paultan.org Auto Car Expo (ACE) at Setia City Convention Centre from October 31 to November 1, 2026. Visitors can view the hybrid crossover up close and take it for a test drive before its Malaysian launch in November.
This is not the model’s first public showing in Malaysia. It was previously previewed at KLIMS in June 2026, shown again in August, and bookings opened in early October. GWM says the Ora 5 HEV is expected to be priced at RM115,000.
The Ora 5 HEV uses a hybrid system with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, an electric motor and a two-speed dedicated hybrid transmission. GWM claims a combined output of 223 PS and 476 Nm, with fuel consumption of 4.4 litres per 100 km under NEDC testing.
Equipment listed for the preview unit includes 18-inch alloy wheels, all-around disc brakes, LED lighting, a 14.6-inch infotainment screen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless charging pad and synthetic leather upholstery. The car measures 4,471 mm long, 1,833 mm wide and 1,641 mm tall, with a 2,720 mm wheelbase.
