Transport Minister Anthony Loke said the government is moving ahead with legal action, including a civil suit, against Zetrix AI over unpaid government revenue and penalties. The company had earlier been suspended as a JPJ collection agent after failing to remit the money collected between May 19 and September 30.
The government is now pursuing legal action, including a civil suit, against Zetrix AI Bhd over RM314 million in arrears and penalties linked to government revenue collections, Transport Minister Anthony Loke said in Parliament on 27 October 2026.
Loke said the money was collected on behalf of the Road Transport Department (JPJ) between 19 May and 30 September 2026, but was not transferred on time. He said revenue collected for the government must not be treated as a company’s operating funds.
He also said the ministry had already issued 35 reminder notices and held four engagement sessions and special discussions before taking further action. Zetrix AI and MyEG were suspended as JPJ collection agents on 5 October 2026.
According to the report, full payment of all outstanding sums, including late-transfer penalties, is required before any extension or further operational consideration. JPJ is also upgrading its MySikap portal and MyJPJ app to reduce reliance on third-party agents.
What it means for you: JPJ services are being shifted further toward official channels, so workshops and motorists should keep using MyJPJ, MySikap and JPJ counters instead of depending on a single third-party agent.
